This section presents the available archival and other documents confirming and recognizing the high titles of nobility and the highest status of the Head of the Sovereign Kostrovs Imperial & Royal House of the Ukraine-Rus.
The genus of the Kostrovs Prince can be seen in the "Genealogical Book of the Nobles of the Russian Empire", in part 3, in the section "Princely Surnames", 1856, the next edition.
In 1555 granted Decree
of the Tsar Ivan IV Terrible (Rurikovich) on allowing Murza (Prince) of the Kazan Kingdom Kystyr-Girey, to be called Prince Kostrov.
